Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to permanently delete your OwlyBank account and all associated data.

Option 1: In the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the OwlyBank app:

1. Open the OwlyBank app
2. Go to Settings (bottom tab)
3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
4. Tap Delete My Account
5. Type DELETE to confirm

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Option 2: By Email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by email:

1. Send an email to [email protected]
2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
3. Include the email address associated with your OwlyBank account

We will verify your identity and process the deletion.

Delete Specific Data (Without Deleting Your Account)

You can remove individual child profiles and all their associated data without deleting your entire account:

1. Open the OwlyBank app
2. Go to the Kids tab
3. Tap on the child whose profile you want to remove
4. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner
5. Tap Delete Profile
6. Type the child's name to confirm

The profile is removed immediately. All associated transactions, saving goals, and balance data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

For any other data deletion requests, email [email protected] with the subject line Data Deletion Request and describe what data you'd like removed.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account and login credentials
• All child profiles you created (nicknames, avatars)
• All transaction records (allowance, chores, spending)
• Saving goals and balance history
• Notification preferences
• Your household (if you are the last member)
